DBacks finish at the top of Pool A

CAIRNS, SK – The Saskatoon Dbacks offence came to life on Saturday as they hammered the Regina Expos 11-1 and then blasted the Muenster Red Sox 15-3. With the wins the Dbacks finish first in Pool A and earn a shot at playing in the provincial finals.
Shane Soderberg pitched the first game holding the Regina Expos to 1 run over 7 innings. Jordan Malainey continued to swing a hot bat blasting a 3 run homer to spark the offence and seal the victory for the Dbacks.
In the second game Jarred Thompson pitched three solid innings for the win with Matt Scott and Jayden McKim coming in to finish things off. Tyrone Polson lead the Dbacks offence going 4 for 5 with 3 RBIs. The Dbacks who had 15 hits in the game, hope they can continue hitting as they face the Giants at noon on Sunday for a chance to advance to the Provincial Finals.
