Royals Sweep Jays

Posted July 26, 2016

The Royals hosted their last home league games of the year this past weekend in Marysburg. In front of a large crowd the Royals took on the Blue Jays in a doubleheader. The first game was close until the fifth when the Royals blew it open and won by a score of 9-4. Paul Strueby threw three innings, Brent Puetz threw two, and Nick Anderson threw the final two innings. The Royals made one error defensively and the bats were big once again. Brent Puetz and Dustin Emberley hit back to back dingers as the Royals pounded out twelve hits in the win. The next game saw the Royals win 14-4 in six innings. Eric Bollefer threw three, Mathew Strueby threw two, and Carter Frerichs threw one inning. The defense made a couple errors behind Mathew, but the bats were big again as the Royals had sixteen hits in the win.

Congrats to Blue Jay, Jeff Korol, for winning our Barrel of Fun Raffle. Enjoy!!

Next action is this weekend when the Royals take part in the Senior AA Provincials in Saskatoon!
