Braves on the Brink After Dropping 6-1 Decision to Delta

Posted August 5, 2016

The Burnaby Braves managed only one hit Friday morning and lost 6-1 to the Delta Tigers at the BC Minor Provincial Championships in Nanaimo. Delta scored unearned runs off starter Evan Hoegler in the 2nd and 3rd innings before opening the game up, drawing four consecutive walks in the fourth to take 4-0 lead. The Braves managed to scratch out a run in the 6th but left the bases loaded in their only serious threat of the game. Kaz Kada was named game MVP after making the play of the season in right. The Braves take on Vancouver Community at 5:30. Lucas Grant starts for Burnaby.
