Talent and the Athlete
Posted November 9, 2016
While being or having great athletic ability can make players outstanding on the field of play, if this same athlete doesn't have the mental compacity to understand the game within the game, the athletic skills are never completely transfered to the field of play and you can see this.
When a great player can't make minor adjustments to what they see, simply being strong, fast and large doesn't make for a great player, thats why the Lab 1 classroom is so important to the development process of the Cleburne Eagles players, while recruiting great talent that alone won't be enough to keep academy particpates in the academy, our players are based around a 21u age grouping with exceptions for 23u players.
Pressure to perform up to the pro prospect level talent, will be placed upon all academy particpates and coaches throughout the season.
