PISCIOTTA NAMED AMERICA EAST PLAYER OF THE WEEK

BOSTON - Senior Allie Pisciotta (New Hyde Park, Pa.) of the Stony Brook softball team was named the America East Player of the Week after batting 8-for-15 (.533) with a home run and two doubles in five games at the Charlotte Invitational.
Pisciotta, a first team all-conference selection in 2013 and a two-time America East All-Tournament honoree, earns her first career Player of the Week Award. She hit safely in all five contests, finishing the week on a high-note with a 3-for-3 day in a win over Saint Joseph's.
Pisciotta and the Seawolves are back in action on Fri., Feb. 26, when they open the Florida Atlantic Tournament vs. Michigan State at 3:45 p.m.
