Danbury, Conn. – Hofstra junior outfielder Caryn Bailey was named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division I Softball All-Star First-Team and senior pitcher Morgan Lashley earned ECAC Second-Team honors.

Representatives from ECAC Division I member institutions voted. Bailey earned her first career ECAC honor and was one of just four outfielders to make the first team. She joined Stony Brook's Bria Green, James Madison's Taylor Newton and Bucknell's Kristen Zahn. Bailey hit a Colonial Athletic Association-leading 16 home runs (one shy of Hofstra's single-season record) and drove in a career-high 52 runs in starting all 53 games. Bailey hit .386 and scored 47 runs while slugging .641 and posting a .416 on-base percentage.

The Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania native also registered five assists in her first season as a centerfielder and struck out just 26 times compared to 32 walks. She was also a first-team NFCA All-Northeast region pick and set CAA Tournament records by hitting four home runs and registering 18 total bases to help Hofstra win two games over then-No. 18 JMU on the Dukes' home field to capture the conference championship.

Lashley went 19-3 in her final collegiate season and won 19 consecutive decisions. The right-hander transferred to Hofstra before the 2014 season following a stellar two-year career at Army West Point and went 36-8 with a 2.15 ERA with the Pride. In 2015, the Davidson, N.C. native recorded a 1.93 ERA And struck out 173 in 166 2/3 innings.

Lashley was also a first-team NFCA all-region pick. Despite her great success as a starter, her most memorable appearance in her final collegiate season came in the CAA Championship final when she notched her only save of the year came in the game with the highest stakes. She  threw 2 1/3 flawless innings and tallied five strikeouts to preserve Hofstra's 2-1 lead in the CAA championship clincher over JMU in Harrisonburg, Virginia. She is 98-37 in her career counting two outstanding seasons for Army from 2012-13 that included a second-team all-region pick with the Black Knights.

UMass-Amherst's Quianna Diaz-Patterson Sr. was the ECAC Player of the Year while JMU swept the remaining categories as Megan Good won both Pitcher and Rookie of the Year awards and Mickey Dean was the Coach of the Year.
