Royals and Stallions Split Doubleheader
Posted June 6, 2010
The Royals actually got to play today as the rain stayed away. The first game saw the Royals win by a score of 2-1 with Marty Yeager supplying the walk off single scoring Braden Messer in the bottom of the ninth. Paul Strueby and Braden Bauml combined to pitch a great game.
The second game saw the Royals lose by a score of 5-4. The boys played well but couldn't quite do it in the end. Colin Bauml threw 6 innings and Jesse and Josh Johb combined to throw the rest of the game. Considering the Royals hadn't played in 17 days it was good day of ball as they only made one error in 16 innings of play. The bats were a little quiet but they will come around soon! Next action for the Royals is on June 7th at 9:00pm against the Smoking Guns.
