TOLEDO THREAT kicks off the 2017 season with a 78-72 WIN over the Louisville Fillies
Posted May 8, 2017

On Saturday, May 6, 2017, the Toledo Threat ventured to Louisville Kentucky to kick off their season opener against the Fillies. After weeks of preparation the ladies were ready to put it all together on the court!
Toledo came out on FIRE! The team's high intensity and enthusiasm helped them gain an early 20 point league in the first half. But, the Fillies would answer back going on a run and cut the game within 4 points at halftime (44-40 Toledo). The second half of the game was full of runs (from both teams), transition buckets, and hard fouls. This season opener became a battle and the Toledo Threat was able to finish on top and bring home their first league WIN! The Toledo Threat is now 1-0 and will look to keep the winning trend going on May 20th as they kick off their HOME OPENER against the Grand Rapids Galaxy at Start High School. The game will begin at 5:00pm and there will be a $5 admission at the door.
