CAIRNS, SK - Bryce Libke in his first appearance of the season on the bump for the Saskatoon Diamondbacks was memorable as he went 6 innings allowing 1 earned run with 6 Ks and no walks. Libke's only blemish came on a bunt single from the White Sox leadoff hitter. Following that Libke breezed through the game before being replaced by Emmett Graham to start the 7th. Graham surrendered two walks before being replaced by Ryan Olchoway. Olchoway struggled early, walking a batter to load the bases and then hitting a batter allowing a run to score. After giving up two runs, both charged to Graham, Olchoway finally settled in getting two Ks and a foul ball to end the game.
The Dbacks offence was led by Garrett Krawchuk who was 2 for 4 with 3 RBIs. Connor Coverett was 2 for 4 and Teege Polson and Drayson Snell were both 1 for 3. Nolan Machibroda was 1 for 4.
The 6 and 6 Dbacks now face the Northwest Pirates at 1:30 pm at Leakos Field.
