Royals, Guns split
Posted June 5, 2017
The Royals hosted the Guns this past Sunday in Marysburg for a doubleheader. The first game saw the Guns jump out to a 10-0 lead after one. However we battled back to make the score 13-11 after four complete innings. That's the way the score would stand as we dug way too deep a hole for us to climb out of. Mathew Strueby took the loss. While Eric Bollefer and Carter Frerichs threw well in relief. We made one error. The bats were big with Brett Doepker once again going deep and having three hits.
Next game saw us jump out to a 7-0 lead and hold on for the 9-7 win. Our bats were big again with Braden Bauml and Luke Strueby leading the way with a pair of hits with Luke going deep. Nick Anderson threw a strong four innings before giving way to Thomas Lessmeister who threw the last three. We did our best not to help our pitchers out making four errors again. Our defense has been bad. Royals are now 4-2 on the season and play the Stallions at 9pm on Tuesday in Saskatoon.
