Posted June 26, 2017
The Royals took on the Dodgers yesterday in SSBL action in Marysburg. The first game saw Carter Frerichs throw 3 innings and Thomas Lessmeister four as the Royals won by a 10-9 score. Defensively the Royals made three errors again, however they were able to make up for it offensively as they had twelve hits. Rylan Korte had three and Brent Puetz and Geoff Strueby each hit a bomb. The Dodgers were up 9-7 going into the bottom of the seventh, but the Royals pushed three across, with Brent Puetz driving in the winning run with a bases loaded bean ball.
The next game saw Colin Bauml totally shut down the Dodgers offense as the Royals won by a 3-0 score. The defense was good only making one error and the bats were solid as we had eight hits. Luke Strueby had a pair to pace the offense. Next action for the Royals is Tuesday at 6:30 in Saskatoon against the Outlaws.
