Game 1: Supers 12 Stars 5

Game one of the first round best of three series was played in Roblin on Thursday July 13, After the opening two innings went scoreless the Supers erupted for five runs in the top of the third and never looked back in a 12-5 victory.

A thirteen hit attack was led by Travis Mentanko's two doubles, two singles and four rbi. Logan Parachoniak, Greg Andreychuk, and Clint Maduck each had a pair of hits. Kholton Shewchuk, Adam Korb and Brogan Legebokoff each had one hit.

Shewchuk started on the mound and tossed six innings giving up just three runs on eight hits while striking out eight to pick up the win. Derek Palagian pitched the final inning to finish the game.

With the win the Supers take a 1-0 lead in the best of three series. Game two is slated for Friday July 14 at 6:15PM in Canora. Game three if necessary would be Monday evening in Canora at 6:15 PM.
