The Roby Dome
Home of the Knights!!
The Roby Dome was opened in 1970 along with the newly created Marion County High School. The only dome in the Fifth Region, it serves as the home court for the Knights and Lady Knights basketball teams and the Lady Knights vollyball team. The Roby Dome was named for Beverly "Sis" Roby who was the head coach of the Lady Knights basketball team for 21 seasons, winning 392 games and being named Coach of the Year in 1995.
The banners hanging in the rafters honor the accomplishments of past MCHS teams, coaches, and players.
The banners on the stage side of the Roby Dome (above) pay homage to past high schools of Marion County (St. Augustine, Rosenwald, Lebanon, St. Charles, St. Francis, and Bradfordsville).
The sixth-man student section helps provide a home-court advantage for the Knights.
