Dandola Earns Fourth CAA Weekly Honor

For the fourth time this season, freshman pitcher Sophie Dandola has earned a weekly honor from the Colonial Athletic Association, with the CAA naming her Rookie of the Week on Monday.
Dandola had another strong weekend in the circle for the Pride, as Hofstra cruised to a series sweep of Charleston to stay unbeaten in CAA play, with Dandola earning a win and a save. The Seaford, New York, native did not allow an earned run on the weekend, pitching a complete game victory in Game 2 on Saturday before entering in relief in Sunday's finale to earn the save. She issued just six hits across 8.2 innings of work, striking out four.
The honor is Dandola's second Rookie of the Week nod, adding to a pair of Pitcher of the Week awards. Hofstra has earned a weekly award in every week that the Pride has been active this season
