Supers Sweep Stars in Kamsack Double Header

On Saturday June 16 the Supers traveled to Kamsack to face the Roblin Stars in a double header. Adam Korb pitched a complete game 1, and Terry Cumming went the distance in game 2 as the Supers won 15-6 and 12-5.
Game 1: Stars 6 at Supers 15
The Supers 16 hits and 15 runs were more than enough for starting pitcher Adam Korb to cruise his way to victory. Korb gave up five hits and six walks while striking out three for the win
The game was tied 1-1 after one inning before the Supers tacked on seven in the bottom of the second for some breathing room. Three runs in the third and four runs in the fourth was icing on the cake as everything seemed to go right
Ian Quewezance flat out raked at the plate with four hits, six runs batted in and two runs scored. Sean Kolodziejski had three hits, three runs, two stolen bases and two rbis. Chris Morrison made his Supers debut with two hits while Logan Parachoniak also had a pair of hits. Collecting one hit apiece was Phil Sobkow, Evan Rostotski, Clint Maduck, Jorden Cherewyk and Kholton Shewchuk.
Game 2: Supers 12 at Stars 5
It was much of the same in the back half of the double header as Terry Cumming pitched another complete game victory. He gave up ten hits with five walks and five strikeouts on the afternoon. He was off to a bit of a shaky start allowing four runs in the first two innings but ultimately found his groove and had an outstanding game from that point on.
The floodgates opened in the top of the first inning as the Supers put up six runs highlighted by a Quewezance 3 rbi double. Roblin would get it to within 7-4 after two but the Supers gradually tacked on a couple runs here and there to win by a comfortable 12-5 margin.
Ian Quewezance had another clutch game with a single, double and four rbis. Greg Andreychuk had two singles and an rbi, Also getting one hit apiece was Phil Sobkow, Chris Morrison, Kholton Shewchuk, Travis Mentanko, Clint Maduck and Jordan Biletsky. Biletsky made his first appearance as a Super in almost a decade.
With the sweep the Supers record improved to 6-4 on the season. The next games are on Wednesday the 20th in Yorkton vs the Back Forty Brewers and Thursday in Canora vs the Brewers. Both games begin at 6:15 PM
