Outlaws down Diggers in 6
Posted June 27, 2018
After being rained out last Friday, the boys were back in action on Tuesday night, taking on the Diggers in the 9:00 game at Cairns.
The Outlaws jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first, and that would prove to be all they needed on this night.
The offense managed to manufacture 10 runs throughout 6 innings. Frenchee shut the door, backed by some sharp D, throwing a 6 inning, 2 hit shutout.
Special thanks to Jordan Frey for making his 2018 Outlaw debut, putting in a solid performance at 1st base.
The Outlaws will now embark on their annual pilgrimage to Kenosee Lake this weekend, to participate in the Big Moose Baseball tourney.
First action will be Friday morning, on the golf course, as the boys look to defend the Kenosee Cup title against the Stallions.
On the diamond, action starts Saturday morning at 8 :30 against Carlyle, and 1:30 against Muenster. Both games at Kenosee.
On Sunday they will face Arm River at noon in Carlyle. Top team from each pool will play in the final at 6:30 on Sunday.
The squad will be a little thin, however you can never count us out when we have the weak armed, soft hitting Rex in the lineup.
And as always on this weekend, good times are mandatory.
