Royals Sweep Doubleheader

We played last night against the Hoppers in game one of our doubleheader. We won by a 15-0 score. Nick Anderson threw four and Thomas Bollefer threw one. The defense didn't make an error and the bats were huge belting out 16 hits. Curtis Strueby lead the way with four hits. Brent Puetz also hit a grand slam in the fourth inning. With this win we clinched our seventh league pennant in the last 9 years.
Game two saw us take on the Outlaws. Thomas Lessmeister got the start throwing three innings. He gave up seven runs with only three of them being earned. Our defense was a little suspect making three errors behind him. However, the defense cleaned up it's act and Tom Bollefer threw three strong inningsto get the win before giving way to Brent Puetz who came in and got the save. We won 10-9. OUr bats were big again with 12 hits in the game with Rylan Korte, Adam Gerwing, Brett Doepker, and Luke Strueby leading the way with two apiece.
Next action is Sunday at 6:30 against the Stallions at Cairns.
