Wanamaker Medium Pitch Inc., GAM Softball and Men of Iron are teaming up to provide a 10 Man Medium Pitch tournament with up to $1,600 in prize money to be held August 18th in Wilmington Delaware.

This will be a ONE-DAY TOURNAMENT

The first 16 Paying teams will be included.

PAYOUTS ($100 per team of entrance fee goes to payout)

• Overall winner = up to $1,066
• Second Place = up to $534

TOURNAMENT DETAILS

Complex – 4 Lighted fields – DelCastle Rec Center, 2920 Duncan Rd, Wilmington Delaware

TOURNEY FORMAT – Pool Play (3 game guarantee)

Up to 4 Pools of 4 teams (16 teams max). You play each team in your Pool to determine seeding (1 – 4) into a single elimination round. Bottom seed from each pool does not move on.

Pool seeding determined by:

1. Total Points (3 points for a win, 1 for a tie)
2. Average runs per inning given up
3. Average runs per inning scored

ELIMINATION FORMAT (Top 3 seeds from each pool make it to single elimination round)

1. Round 1 – 3 seeds vs. 2 seeds (cross over)
2. Round 2 – Winners of Round 1, play #1 seeds
3. Semis
4. Finals

 PITCHING RULES – We are allowing a hybrid of sling, figure 8 and traditional Modified. One Primary pitching rule

If the ball is outside the wrist at any point in your delivery then……..“On the backswing the ball cannot be above 90 degree created by hip-shoulder ball”. Enforced by Tournament Organizers. If you have any question on what will be allowed, call Sal Guerriero (610 389 4830) or email him a video.

On 4th Illegal pitch, pitcher will be removed from pitching for that game. He can play other positions and come back as a pitcher another game. But please do not put us in that situation….follow the rules.

Bats will be provided – 4 for each field (no other bats allowed other than a weighted bat)

GENERAL RULES

• 10 man defensive, DH for anyone and EH allowed (can hit 11 if desired)
• Runner for pitcher or catcher with 2 outs by someone not in game
• No metal spikes
• Re-entry rule for all
• Bunting and stealing allowed but no fake (slash) bunt
• Helmets required for batter and base runners
• International rule for extra innings
• 1:15 Time limit for Pool Play (no inning can start after 1:15 minutes)
• Mercy run rule – 15 after 3 innings, 12 after 4 innings, 10 after 5 innings
• 1 Minute between innings (as many warm-ups you can get squeeze in a minute).
