Outlaws fall to Diggers
Posted July 30, 2018
The Outlaws took on the Diggers on Thursday night, their 3rd game in 4 nights.
Lindy got the start and went the distance, however the offense was spotty all night, and just couldn’t seem to string much together.
The Diggers starting pitcher kept the boys off balance, and lots of balls were put in play , however the Diggers played solid D, and ended up taking the game 4 to 3.
The bigger news in this game was that Sassafras hurt himself in the 3rd inning, on a pickoff attempt. Due to the fact we had 9 guys to start, the Diggers were kind enough to lend us their DH, so both teams could finish the game with 9 aside.
As of right now, Jordan is on the DL, and we are hoping he can make a full recovery before provincials.
The boys next action will be a provincial warm up game, with the Hoppers on Tuesday night at 9:00 at Cairns.
After that they will head to Regina on Friday, in hopes of bringing home a provincial title.
