Stallions outlast Outlaws
Posted August 8, 2018
The Outlaws got back into action Tuesday night against the Stallions.
Brody Vogel got the start for the Outlaws , for his first innings on the bump since his first year of midget.
He managed to go 4 innings, staying pretty consistently around the dish. The Stallions put up 6 in the 3rd to go up 7 to 2 after 3.
As always this year, the Outlaws wouldn’t go away, and chipped their way back into the game, led by a moon shot from Sass.
Sass also came in relief, giving up 1 run over 3 innings .
In the bottom of the 7th , down 8 to 5 with the sunlight quickly fading away, the boys put together a rally and scored 2 , and had the tying run at 2nd.
Unfortunately, they couldn’t bring that one in, ending the game and giving the Stallions the 8 – 7 victory.
Next action for the Outlaws will be Thursday at 9 against the Guns, and 6 :30 Friday against the Dodgers.
These last 2 games will conclude the regular season , with playoffs to begin in the following weeks.
