After a dominate pitching season along with stellar batting Dustin Donald of the Portage Padres is the 2018 SCBL Most Valuable Player.
Dustin went 5-0 with a save in almost 40 innings pitched collecting 40 K's. He was equally as good with the bat. He had 17 hits, 13 runs, 15 RBI with a .415 AVG. while only striking out twice.
Pitcher of the Year goes to Bret Heselwood of the Carberry Royals.
Bret was 4-2 in 5 games started. He pitched 32 innings, collecting 28 K's while having a low 1.97 ERA.
Rookie of the Year is Joey Moffatt of the Portage Padres
Joey who was also MVP of MHSAA Baseball Provincials is going into Grade 12 this upcoming school year. He was second in league AVG. with .483, adding 14 hits with a homerun.
On the mound Joey went 2-0 in his 2 starts. 12.67 innings pitched with an impressive 18 K's. Watch for Joe in coming years.
