Playoffs Begin
Posted August 13, 2018
The Outlaws finished up the regular season last week, with games on Thursday and Friday.
They needed to win 1 of the remaining 2 to secure a spot in the league playoffs.
The Guns made things easy for the Outlaws on Thursday , conceding the victory by default . The boys did not let the open field go to waste, and took some BP under the lights and enjoyed a few beverages.
Friday night they played the Dodgers , who needed a win to keep their playoff hopes alive.
Eric Mcneilly got the start, and pitched an absolute gem of a game for the Outlaws. He allowed 1 run through 6 innings. The only kicker was that Parker Bessel was equal to the task for the Dodgers, and managed to shut out the Outlaw bats for the complete game 1-0 victory. Hats off to both pitchers , for what had to be the quickest game in the league this year.
The Dodgers dropped the late game to the Stallions , which eliminated their post season hopes, and set up the semifinal matches being played this week.
It will be Marysburg vs the Stallions , and The Outlaws vs the Hoppers. The winners of these series will play in the league final starting the week of Aug 20.
The Outlaws and Hoppers get things kicked off tonight with a double dip. If a 3rd game is required it will be Tuesday at 9.
