Royals gunned down by the Outlaws

Posted June 17, 2010

The Royals managed to actually get a game in last night and it was a good game at that.  Despite coming up on the short end of a 4-2 score they played pretty well.  Mathew Strueby took the hard luck loss tossing a complete game 3 hitter.  A couple of fielding mistakes and a blown call cst the Royals in the first inning as they surrendered three early runs.  Pitching for the Outlaws was Trevor Klassen, who is fresh off a two year stint in an independent pro league.   The Royals did manage six hits, but did struggle to get the timely ones needed to score some runs.  Next action for the Royals is Friday night at 8:30 against the Smoking Guns in the annual Fathers Day tourney!!!
