Pineda Notches First Career Home Run, but Softball Downed at Biola

Sophomore Hannah Pineda slugged her first collegiate home run for the Adelphi University softball team on Saturday afternoon, but the Panthers were swept by Biola University in their final series in California, 3-0 and 3-2.
Pineda, a transfer from Stony Brook University, appeared in just three games for the Seawolves in her freshman season before donning the Brown and Gold this year, and her first career long ball broke up a second shutout effort for the Eagles (5-7) in the nightcap on Saturday's doubleheader.
