In a rematch of a preseason game that was played back in January with a score of 22-14 in favor the Grizzlies at the same field with the same results, the Golden Isles Grizzlies prevailed again over the Duval Raiders with a score of 32-6 this time around. The Grizzlies' offense got going early with an score to set the tone. The Grizzlies' defense then stepped up set the tone for the rest of the game by making the Raiders' offense go out 3 and out multiple times along with blocking multiple punts, pass deflections and interceptions. Even though the Grizzlies' offense bogged down a little, they was able to get back on track and score of multiple touchdown passes and runs. The Grizzlies were missing some key players but a lot of players stepped up to fill the void and gain some much needed game experience that will be needed as the Grizzlies are gearing up to play their division foes for the second time but at their home field. The Grizzlies will be off this week as the league has schedule this week as a bye for the whole league to rest players and/or play rescheduled games. The Grizzlies will be back in action on March 9th, 7pm against the Palm Beach Makos. The game will be played at Lanier Field and it will be also a family and friends day also. So come out with your family and friends to support your Golden Isles Grizzlies and enjoy a good time. More details to come, so keep an look out for that. Also we will be raffling off another 55" flat screen at this game, so get your tickets for a chance to win this great prize. Once again thanks to all our fans and supporters.
