4. Formats for 2019 & Beyond– State Rules have 8-game minimum for league play
   1. Regular Season vs. Postseason

i.Ideas that have come forth to date as I remember

ii.Both formats are intricately tied together

iii.A regular season format may not work with one or another postseason format

iv.Intended to make the most comprehensive list of possibilities I could think of

2. Regular Season

i.Option 1 – One League – Two Divisions

ii.Option 2 – Open Scheduling as one League/Region – like MSHSL

iii.Option 3 – One League – no division

iv.Option 4 – Crookston Independent/Both Leagues – depending on point of view

v.Option 5 – One League – Three Divisions of (3)

vi.Option 6 – Two Leagues

3. Playoffs – League &/or Region

i.9-team Double Elimination Tournament

1. Played over three weekends
2. Two Hosts or Three Hosts
3. Teams are seeded either by division with RRL 4 playing NWB 5 in first round to advance to QF or seeded overall and first round matchups could be intra-league/division if there are those
4. Two Host or Three host Tournament
   1. One team hosts the first weekend, second team hosts the final two weekends

i.Option 1- 9 teams advance to second weekend

ii.Option 2- 8 teams advance to second weekend

iii.Option 3 – Play the opening 10 games the first weekend – 6 teams advance to second weekend

2. Three Host Tournament – Brings Final Weekend to a remaining teams park

ii.8 – team Double Elimination

1. The state made clear last season all teams should have a playoff opportunity to keep them from folding mid-season
2. This would either create a play-in series, round-robin or play-in game meaning the potential for a lot of travel for some of the teams least likely to advance for possibly just one game.
3. Three Host Tournament
4. Three Weekend Format – Pros vs. Cons
5. Another option to this would be to have multiple host sites especially for early rounds and compact the schedule
