Former Dodger Cole Hamilton is joining our coaching staff. His focus will be primarily on catching and relief pitching as well as maintaining appropriate behavior in the clubhouse.
Fundraising is in full swing. Anyone interested in sponsoring this summer can discuss how to do that by calling Art/Kelly at 503-399-2400.
Player fees will be $900 for the summer which will include practice gear, rather than charge separately. Players and their families are also being asked to seek sponsorships toward the Reno trip. This season's budget and and fundraising will be the hot topics on the agenda for the Sunday, April 28 meeting.
Albany (Southpaws) will not be participating in Legion baseball this season. This is the result of that team's disqualification as State champion for using an ineligible player in the tournament.
The season kicks off with a home game on Sunday, June 2 vs perenial powerhouseVancouver.
