Bardo Bounces Back

After a night of quiet offence due to a solid pitching performance by Steven Pahl and some solid defence by the Millet squad, Bardo headed to Ryley to battle the new Rebels.

Knowing this was another battle on the mound Bardo knew they needed to generate runs early. Don Oslund would get his first start in a Bardo uniform, and would pitch against Ryley’s ace, Dylan Soldberg.

Rob Berrecloth homered in the 1st inning to give the Athletics an early 2 run lead. Ryley would come to life in the second inning scoring 2 runs to tie it on a Travis Jones double. Both Teams would exchange a few more runs each over the next couple of innings.

But with Don Oslund now holding the Rebel offence at bay, Bardo’s offence would start to roll, aided by a double from Peter Neufeld and a list of singles, Bardo scored 3 runs in the 5th and 3 in the sixth to solidify a victory. The final would end up 11-6 for the Athletics.
