Three-way race could be tight

The 2009 Powerline Baseball League season is now in full swing, and so far, there’s an intriguing three-way battle for top spot and the $100 regular season prize.
In two games with the two of the three titans competing against each other, both ended up being decided by just one run.
Camrose remains the only undefeated team after a nail-biting 5-4 home-field win Thursday night against Leduc. The Roadrunners continue to remain solid in the regular season, poised to win their second regular season title in a row.
But they will have company atop the standings.
Bardo was probably pegged to end up in the third spot before the season began, but a great start with very little trouble against Ryley, Tofield and Armena, has vaulted them into a tie for first.
Still, until they beat Camrose or Leduc, they will be the dark-horse in this three-horse field. The only thing that might end up in their favour is an extra tilt versus Ryley while Camrose and Leduc have to match-up an extra time by season’s end.
Leduc and Camrose face off again on June 3 while Bardo meets the Roadrunners next week, followed by a re-match with Leducon June 4.
The pennant-race excitement is already starting to build. In response to this excitement, we’ve added the Games Behind (GB) feature to the standings to get a better picture for the race for first. However, points still determine positioning and tie-breaker rules are still in effect if a tie occurs.
