RL: Camrose humbles Athletics

Tuesday night’s weather was the best the good lord provided us so far this year. Harry Andreason diamon witnessed a similar occurance once again with the Camrose Roadrunners handing the Bardo Athletics some humble pie.

Hans started and finished on the mound for the first place Roadrunners, striking out 7 and only allowing 5 hits in a lopsided 10-3 score.

Bardo was sporting their new uniforms for the first time, but as good as they looked, Camrose was the team that had it going on, and early.

Chris Mittelstadt, Bardo’s 2008 ace started for the Athletics, and was soon down 5 runs in the first, giving up 4 singles and a double. Hans, Steve, Luke, Warren, David hit singles while John hit the double. What was scary, was the fact Statter was pitching pretty well, Camrose has a tough hitting roster from one to nine, and as they always do, stuck the bat out on more than 1 occasion to make contact, and thus found holes.

While Camrose was finding offence, Bardo struggled. They did not look like a team that has been practicing since March. Hans curve ball had the Athletics swinging at air most of the night. Chris Kallal came into finish for Bardo and did an admiral job. But for second time in 3 games Bardo has been looking for their offence to find a groove. Tonight was not that night. Will it come Thursday against the Lakers?
