Shocker in the Rose City

Marcel Lesoway turned in a complete game performance and his Lakers outhit the host Camrose Roadrunners 16 to 10 and capitalized on a couple of costly errors to record an upset 10-9 win in the Rose City Thursday night. Camrose starter Matt Mayer was tagged for eight runs in his almost four innings of work, but helped his team claw back to take a one-run lead in the sixth, only to see the Lakers tag reliever Hans Haugen for two in the seventh and then watch Lesoway sit the hosts down 1-2-3 to preserve the win. The win was the first of the season for Tofield and the first home loss this year for the Roadrunners.
