Roadrunners Clinch First

Hans Haugen limited the Leduc Milleteers to two hits over six innings of work, and also led his team offensively, going three for five at the dish and scoring two runs, as well as driving in two with a fifth-inning double, as Camrose spoiled Leduc’s perfect home record with a 7-2 win on Wednesday night.

The Roadrunners jumped on Leduc starter Scott Peterson early and often, rapping out 13 hits before he was relieved by Shawn Brinkworth in the fifth. Also spurring the Camrose offense was Jeff Kasa, who went three for four, with four RBI’s.Haugen worked a very efficient game, notching up six stikeouts, and was helped by a solid defense, as he only pitched to 24 batters over six innings, before handing the ball to Steve Ofrim to finish up.
