Milleteers Bats Come Alive In Tofield
After the Milleteers offense sleep walked through the A Final in the Ryley Tournament, it came back with a vengeance on Tuesday night in Tofield. Kevin Doyle got it started as he sent the first pitch of the game from Tofield hurler Marcel Lesoway into the trees in right and the hits kept coming all night. In the end Doyle would end up with a four hit night. Not to be out done his little brother Murray chipped in with a couple of hits of the bench and three RBIs. Shortstop Jon Anstey also had a multi-hit game as he hammered a couple of doubles and a single.

On the mound tonight for the Milleteers was Trevor Pahl as he decided to dust off his pitching arm after all the innings the normal pitching staff had to throw last week. He was solid except in the third when he walked a few that ended up coming around to score, but seeing as he had only threw a couple of innings in the last seven years, he was happy to get what could actually be his first win in the new century. Murray Doyle came in to get the old fashioned three inning save as he continues to battle back from elbow trouble and was effective as well as he did not allow a run.

Next up for the Milleteers will be a big first place battle with the Holden Blue Jays tomorrow night in Leduc.
