Armena Struggles Continue while A’s bats come alive

Armena arrived in Bardo in hopes to snap a 9 game losing streak on tuesday night. With Jason Buzzell on the mound for the Royals he was poised to redeem himself after last game vs. Bardo in which a strong outing was blundered by a couple of key defensive errors.

There were a few errors early in the night that some may have blamed on the wind but for both teams that have seemed to kick the ball around a touch throughout the season it was just another obstacle to get over. Bardo took the lead in the second inning over the game with 3 runs to go ahead 4-1.

The 6th inning proved to be the backbreaker for the Royals as the Bardo strung together 6 hits and drew 4 walks pitcher Cody Sroka to notch 9 in their half of the inning. Chris Mittelstadt cruised through the 7th to amass 6 k’s on the night along with 3 walks in 7 innings of work.

A bright spot for Armena on an other wise dim night was veteran Wes Wilson going 3-4 at the dish and accounting for 2 of the Royal’s runs.

Next up for Bardo will be a wednesday game against the Milleteers in which both teams will be trying to gain 2 points on the high flying Ryley Rebels that have crawled into a tie for first place.

Leduc has 2 games in hand on the Rebels and will be looking to use every chance they get to get back on top.
