Bardo clinches playoff berth with win

The stage was set for an emotional game on thursday night as Tofield were fighting to keep their playoff hopes alive. Tofield sent Josh Banack to mound as Bardo responded with throwing Ray Lehman.

Lehman came out of the gates firing as he stuck 6 out of the first 7 batters he faced but the tofield batters started to time things up and managed a couple of hits off of some off speed pitches.

The A’s were once again struggling at the plate but were still able to produce runs at a consistent pace throughout the game by capitalizing on the Laker’s untimely errors. As the game went on Tofield’s crew were visibly getting frustrated with themselves and in the 6th Bardo scored 2 runs to put the game and Tofield’s playoffs hopes to bed.

With Tofield being mathematically eliminated from contention they now focus on playing the role of spoiler as all three of their games left are against teams fighting for position in the tight race at top. As for Bardo they have a tough finish to the season as they must face Leduc twice more, Tofield, and Ryley to finish off the season.
