News and notes for May 9

Team pages finished

The team pages on the league website have been finished. Team rosters must be submitted the beginning of June so those will get filled in once that date passes.

Check your schedules and information to make sure it’s up-to-date. We’ll be updating the contact page with new information once the season begins.

Armena still working on infield

The Armena Royals have postponed their opening night game with the Camrose Roadrunners due to Anniversary Park improvements getting underway.

They’ve also swapped home dates with Bardo so the May 12 game is in Bardo while May 26 is in Armena.

Plans are in motion to move the May 17 game against Leduc to Sherwood Park to allow room for the Armena Recreation Association to finish work on the infield, thus making May 26 against Bardo, Armena’s first official game on home turf.

Bardo has new spot on the web

The Bardo Athletics have launched a new website at http://www.rteamsite.com/baseball/bardobaseball/

The Athletics old site is still kicking but update your links to the one above for updated information about the club.

Leduc knocks off NCABL Axemen

The defending champion Leduc Milleteers knocked off the currently hot Camrose Axemen of the North Central Alberta Baseball League in Leduc on May 4.

A 3-2 decision is the Axemen’s only loss in four games this season.
