Milleteers Boat Race Roadrunners
The Milleteers traveled to Camrose tonight to take on the hard charging Roadrunners as they have seen a surge in the standings the last few weeks after a tough start to the season. The Milleteers quickly jumped on Roadrunner starter Josh Banack as they brought their hitting sticks tonight, and the Camrose defense that had been so good on their recent winning streak was pretty leaky as well. Pitchers are paid to get three outs an inning, not five, so the official scorer was kept busy when the Milleteers were up to bat.

Staked to an early lead starter Murray Doyle cruised through his three innings, only allowing two base runners. Lefty Greg Zilkie came in to mop up, sporting a nice ERA of 108.00. He got through two scoreless and saw his ERA drop to a much more respectable 15.43.

Next up for the Milleteers will be a road trip to the Bardo Fair Grounds as they play a league game there on Thursday and then the annual Bardo Sports Day tourney on Saturday.
