Birds Launch Big Comeback

Camrose Roadrunners rebounded from a six run deficit, scoring seven runs in the sixth inning for a come-from-behind 10-7 win over the Holden Blue Jays Thursday. 

Trailing 7-1 mid-way through the fourth the home team clawed back with a run in the fourth and another in the fifth before jumping on the Holden reliever with five hits and a couple of costly errors in the sixth.

Marcel Lesoway picked up the win with two strong innings in relief of Josh Banack, before handing the ball to Alex Roth for the save.Lesoway also contributed at the plate, with a single, a double, 3 RBI’s and a run scored. Warren Boychuk and Eldon Banack keyed the sixth-inning outburst with back-to-back doubles. 

The win moves the Roadrunners temporarily into second place in the PBL as they have swept the season series with Holden.
