Bardo Rallies in 7th to Beat Royals

With the A’s season on the line and Armena looking to play spoiler, Sunday afternoon had set up to be quite the game. The fans that showed up were not dissappointed as both starters Ryan Olson and Ian Sherbaniuk went to work.

Olson lasted only 4 innings as he had to leave the game due to (playoff cliche) a “lower body injury”. Sherbaniuk went the distance for Armena as they seemed to have all confidence in their young right hander.

The Athletics were 2-0 going into the 5th where they allowed one run on against but also stranding 2 runners on. The Royals second run of the game was driven in by Jason Buzzell in a great battle between PBL veteran Donny Oslund and himself.

The A’s bats finally came to life for the first rally of the season in the top of 7.

They ended up with 5 hits and 7 runs in their half and never looked back. Bardo now looks to the team they just beat for some help in their game tonight against Camrose.

This will be a very interesting game tonight with both the stories of Armena playing spolier and would love to end their season on a high note.

As well with Camrose a team that definately does not want to play Ryley in a one game playoff after Ryley’s bats (or Kyle Reinholt’s) have seemed to come back to life.

On a side note in being proactive player manager’s Craig Neufeld and Corey Epp met on neutral ground Monday afternoon to do the official coin flip to determine which team gets home field if it does come down to a single game playoff between the two teams.

Craig made the flip in the air, Corey calls out heads……………TAILS! So very exciting.
