Holden Advances to Final

Stephen Hrabec gave up only three hits over seven innings as the Holden Blue Jays edged the Camrose Roadrunners 3-2 on Thursday night.

The win, following a hard-fought eleven-inning victory the previous night, advanced the Blue Jays to the finals.

Holden scored twice in the first and once in the third off Camrose starter Josh Banack and Hrabec had a perfect game going until the fifth inning, when the Roadrunners came to life, scoring once and leaving two runners in scoring position.

Lead-off hitter Sheldon Petryshyn scored in the sixth on a single, sacrifice bunt, steal and ground-out RBI from Luke Anderson, but that was all the scoring the home team could muster, as Hrabec retired the side in the seventh.

Camrose reliever Marcel Lesoway held Holden off the board over the final four innings, allowing just three hits.
