Ryley shows up, whips Leduc
After a no show by Ryley on Sunday, the Milleteers pretty well no showed tonight as they were listlessly trounced in all facets of the game.

The only run the Milleteers were able to scratch out was on a two out gift error. Other than that starter Craig Koughan kept the Milleteers in check as he did not allow another batter past second in his six innings of work, before closer Kris Kushnerick finished off the seventh.

The Milleteers started off OK on the mound as starter Kevin Doyle worked out of jams with key strikeouts to blank the Rebels in his four innings. The Milleteers then turned to the bullpen as young right hander Mark Walker got the call to bridge the gap to the back end of the bullpen. He failed to get an out as he gave up a walk, an error, and three hard hit singles.

The Milleteers then had to go to the closer early as Jon Anstey then struck out the side to stop the bleeding, but the damage was done. The Rebels then tacked on two more runs in the seventh on a deep double to left, probably the deepest shot the diamond has seen to left since the league went to wood off the bat of Koughan.

Next up for the Milleteers will be the first place Roadrunners in Camrose on Thursday as they look to bounce back.
