Roadrunners Comeback To Capitalize On Milleteers Collapse

The Milleteers carried on with their sloppy play from Sunday as they blew
another big early lead tonight in Leduc. The Milleteers quickly racked up an
early seven run lead, only to have the resilient Roadrunners chip away and
eventually take the lead. Both teams were frustrated with the atrocious strike
zone from the home plate umpire that led to a combined 15 walks, 12 from the
Milleteers pitching staff.

The Roadrunners were the ones to stay composed and
it payed off as they capped off the comeback in the sixth after the Milleteers
made two errors that would have ended the inning, reminiscent of what happened
on Sunday.

After building up the big lead on starter Marcel Lesoway the Milleteers
could not muster anything against All Star Alex Roth who was in top form for the
win and a good bounce back as the Roadrunners had dropped their last two games,
and now find themselves tied for first.

Next up for the Milleteers will be a road trip to Holden where they will
try plug their defensive holes and play some good baseball, something they have
struggled to do so far this year.
