Milleteers Sweep Home And Home With Armena

The Milleteers swept the home and home tonight with a road win tonight in the tiny hamlet as the Royals continue to have trouble with any team not from Bardo. Mark Walker got the start against his old team tonight and was tough on his old teammates as he only allowed 1 earned in six good innings. He got into a little trouble in the third due to a couple of errors, but manged to minimize the damage. In the sixth he got into another jam, but again was able to limit the scoring and left the mound with a five run lead.

The Milleteers got the party started early on Royal starter Adam Johnson as
they put up 3 with a walk, hit, and back to back doubles before the majority of
the crowd had got to their seats. The offense kept chipping away and finally
chased Johnson in the fifth as Kyle Ellis came in to keep his team in the
game.

In the seventh the Milleteers went with their one time closer Kevin Doyle,
who made it a little interesting as the Royals refused to go quietly. In the
end the Royal’s over exuberance on the base paths cost them as center fielder
Greg Zilkie gunned down a runner trying to go first to third on a single to end
the game and preserve the win.

Next up for both teams will be the Bardo Sports Day tournament on Saturday
as the Milleteers take on the suddenly on fire Ryley Rebels and the Royals take
on the one team they have mastered so far this year in the host Bardo
Athletics.
