Showdown Thursday table is set

If Powerline Basseball League games were on television, it would seem as if President Steven Pahl reogranized the schedule for tonight ala NCAA College Basketball for “Showdown Thursday.”

  • A showdown for first place between Ryley and Leduc.
  • A showdown between Beaver County hamlets Bardo and Holden, separated by just half a game.
  • A showdown between Camrose County rivals Camrose and Armena at the Big HA

Tonight’s the night where some things get settled, and the standings get a whole lot muddier.

For the first time in more than 10 years, first place to last place in this storied league at the ⅔ mark of the season is a mere 6-point spread. It could be as little as 4 by night’s end.

With the all-star picks being sent in this weekend, the Ryley Sports Days coming up and all the races to end the season, it’s great to see such great races top to bottom.

Good luck to everyone tonight and the rest of the way.

Summer is here!
