The Oak River Dodgers claimed their second SWBL Championship in three years Monday night, knocking off the defending champion Boissevain Centennials 5-0 in the fifth and deciding game of the final.
The Dodgers leaned heavily on two arms to claim the championship, as Brady Moxham (3-1, 32IP, 1.31. 26K) and Ty Paddock (4-1, SV, 25 2/3 IP, 2.73, 23K) pitched 84% of playoff innings for the team. At the plate, a balanced attack was key for the Dodgers' success. They had no hitters in the top 5 of playoff average, but boasted 6 hitters batting better than .300: Connor Geekie .412, Chad Kilimnik .394, Dayton Heino .378, Riley Shamray .361, Ty Paddock .346, and Adam Robidoux .333.
