2012 sets another record for PBL site

Pageviews and visits hit all time highs in 2012 as PowerlineBaseball.com grew steadily in for the third consecutive year.

However, the site actually received lower views through the baseball season, picking up steam during what is usually a completely dead time with the Best PBL Franchise Ever feature running throughout the winter.

The site had 54,394 pageviews with more than 4,200 unique views. Mobile traffic grew by almost 50 per cent, renewing the pressure for the PBL to implement a responsive or mobile site in the next couple years.

Note: The numbers do not include a large amount of traffic to the blog from mobile, which may account for the lower numbers during the regular season. The mobile option of the site has been turned off for the blog.

The team pages, PBL playoff tracker and the North Central Alberta tournament list prove to be large traffic drivers beyond the ordinary standings and schedule pages. Work may be done to post a Alberta BCS style ranking weekly to drive traffic and comments in 2013.
