The Powerline Baseball League’s annual spring meeting is planned for April 10 at 7 p.m. in Camrose at the Edgeworth Centre.
A new seven team schedule is being proposed as Beaumont has made a motion to enter a team in the league.
Other issues to be discussed are:
- Baseball Alberta participation
- Roster rules
- 1st to 3rd balk rule
- Playoff changes
- All Star date finalized and selection process
- More Battle River cooperation and or championship series
- Board Elections
- Rumours
The new schedule won’t be posted online until approved at the league meeting. Currently, the old six-team schedule is posted and the preliminary seven-team schedule is still in draft.
The new 7-team format harkens back to the late 90s PBL when the league had a 14-game schedule with each team playing every team twice, plus two extra games against two rivals.
