Sherbaniuk picks up second win versus Roadrunners

Ian Sherbaniuk picked up his second win of the season and the Armena Royals offense took care of business to move to 3-1 on the season with an 11-1 win Tuesday night at home.

Adam Johnson notched 3 RBI with a two-RBI single and a sac fly. Catcher Chad Samoisette also notched 2 RBI with a double. Lyndon Galvin got off the shnide with a single and a double on the night.

Sherbaniuk’s only big trouble happened in the fifth inning when the bases became loaded and former Royal Cody Sroka marched to the plate. Sroka went the other way with a low fastball and notched the only RBI on the night for the Roadrunners.

Armena responded with a three-run fifth inning with hits from Landon Miller, a double from Galvin, and singles from Johnson and Clark Banack, who appeared in his first game of the year.

The win moves the Royals to 3-1, idle on Thursday night. They then play two big games next week at home versus Ryley then off to Beaumont on Thursday.
