Royals rebound to force game three

After failing to cash in runners and getting out-clutched both offensively and defensively by the Holden Blue Jays in game one, the Armena Royals had a hot start that helped them cruise to a game two 8-3 win on the road to force a deciding game in Armena Thursday.

The Royals had a four-run second inning capped by their eight-nine hitters Chad Samoisette and Landon Miller driving in multiple runs. They’d add two more in the fourth as Lyndon Galvin went all seven on the hill, striking out four and getting steady defense most of the night.

Grayson Soprovich countered for the Jays. He received help offensively early from star batter Zak Lang who continued the hot series with a solo shot to tie the game 1-1 after one. The Blue Jays couldn’t muster anything until the seventh when a walk and an error set up an Alan Ziegler double to the gap to make it 8-3, which is how the game would end.

That sets up the rubber match at Anniversary Park in Armena Thursday night. First pitch at 7 p.m. or a tad earlier if everyone is ready to go.
