Holden wins game two, deciding tilt tonight

The Holden Blue Jays offence caught fire and scored seven runs Wednesday night at home while the Ryley Rebels were slow to start, but got hot just a little too late in a 7-5 game two win for the Blue Jays.

Holden led 4-0 midway through the game before Ryley got within one on a throwing error in the third. The Blue Jays would tack on three more in the sixth to make it 7-3, and once again, just like in game one, the Rebels started chipping away at closer Kyle Muzcheska.

Down 7-5 with two outs and two runners in scoring position, Muzcheska worked out of trouble to secure the win, and force a game three finale in Ryley Thursday night.

The Rebels tweeted late Wednesday night their field took the brunt of a storm, but with sunny skies forecasted all day, it’s hopeful the teams can play in Ryley.

Pitching will be the story, especially with the unconventional Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday final. Depth starters could be on the bump for two teams that relied on a couple pitchers most of the season.
